About Parfuma® First Crush™ Bare Root Rose Bush
Rosa ‘KORmaccap’ — Parfuma® First Crush™
🧬 Breeder: W. Kordes & Sons, Germany
🌹 Rose Type: Floribunda
💕 Soft blush-pink blooms, exceptional fragrance, and outstanding garden health—First Crush™ is very easy to fall for.
Parfuma® First Crush™ is romantic in every sense of the word. Its beautifully petal-packed flowers open in the palest shades of blush pink and cream, creating an ethereal, almost porcelain appearance.
But this rose isn't just pretty.
The fragrance is extraordinary. Depending on the stage of bloom, its complex perfume reveals notes reminiscent of fresh citrus and lemon verbena, sweet plum, ripe apricot, soft vanilla, and floral undertones. As the flowers fully open, the sweeter plum and apricot notes become especially noticeable.
Add glossy green foliage, repeat flowering, excellent disease resistance, and a graceful, slightly arching plant, and First Crush™ becomes much more than a beautiful flower.
It's the kind of rose you fall for all over again every time it blooms.

🌸 Part of the Parfuma® Collection
First Crush™ belongs to Kordes' celebrated Parfuma® collection, a group of roses selected to bring together two characteristics that haven't always gone hand in hand:
Extraordinary fragrance and excellent plant health.
Kordes has spent generations breeding roses with improved disease resistance, and the Parfuma® collection adds something many modern roses have lost along the way—serious perfume.
First Crush™ is a beautiful example of that philosophy.
Its delicate flowers may look romantic and old-fashioned, but the plant underneath them was bred for the modern garden.
💕 Why Grace Rose Farm Loves It
First Crush™ smells exactly like falling in love should.
The flowers alone would be enough to make us want this rose. They're soft, feminine and incredibly romantic, opening blush pink before fading toward the palest creamy white.
But then you smell it.
The fragrance unfolds in layers—fresh citrus and lemon verbena followed by sweet plum, ripe apricot and softer vanilla-like notes. It's the kind of perfume that makes you lean in for a second smell…and then a third.
We also love that First Crush™ doesn't make gardeners choose between fragrance and performance. Its healthy foliage, repeat flowering and disease resistance make it a rose that's just as impressive in the garden as it is with your nose buried in a bloom.
Consider us smitten.
🌿 Growing & Care Recommendations
Planting Site: Choose a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.
Spacing: Allow approximately 3 feet between plants to accommodate its mature size and encourage good air circulation.
Watering: Water deeply after planting and maintain consistent moisture while your bare-root rose establishes its root system.
Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to remove damaged or weak growth and encourage vigorous new flowering stems.
Cutting: Don't be afraid to bring First Crush™ indoors. Its soft coloring and extraordinary perfume make it a wonderful rose for bedside bouquets, arrangements, and fragrant garden-grown flowers.
Fragrance Garden: Plant it beside a patio, walkway, entrance, or garden bench where you'll naturally pass close enough to enjoy its perfume.
Cold Climate Care: In Zone 5, protect the crown with an insulating layer of mulch after the ground begins to freeze.
