Rosa 'KORgi' Blue Girl
Blue Girl is a striking hybrid tea rose known for its unusual silvery-lavender blooms, which often appear to hint at true blue under the right light. Bred by Reimer Kordes in Germany and introduced in 1964 as Kölner Karneval, this rose has become a favorite among collectors for both its color and classic form.
The blooms are large, high-centered, and strongly fragrant with a sweet, fruity scent. Petals are packed densely — typically 30 to 35 per flower — and appear in flushes throughout the growing season. Long stems and strong growth make Blue Girl ideal for cutting gardens and focal points.
Expect a mature size of 2 to 3 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide, with clean, glossy foliage that contrasts beautifully with the cool-toned blooms. Best in full sun and slightly acidic, well-drained soil.
