The Creation of Garden Color Stories™

The Creation of Garden Color Stories™

Article: The Creation of Garden Color Stories™

Garden Color Stories™ had its beginnings in 2020 when I accepted an offer from my publisher to write a book about roses. My goal was to create an inspiring, educational, and practical guide for rose enthusiasts. From the beginning, it was important to me to showcase which roses pair beautifully together, both in the garden and in floral arrangements. After all, why go to the “trouble” of growing roses if we can’t enjoy them in our homes? I find that being in the garden is a wonderful experience, but I personally love the feeling of a space being complete when I bring my roses indoors. A vase of fresh flowers, especially roses, truly finishes a room. In my book, I recommend varieties of roses that thrive in the garden and also make excellent cut flowers.
In the last section of my book, I created ten color palettes of effortlessly beautiful arrangements. I listed the roses that fit each of these palettes, and many readers have told me that these color palettes have inspired their own garden designs.
I have always felt a strong desire to explore the concept of garden palettes further. Garden Color Stories™ is our first offering to help you achieve beautiful groupings of roses that will grow harmoniously together and look stunning in a vase. I hope you enjoy the 22 Garden Color Stories™ we've created!
